Elka Karl is a writer and communications consultant collaborating with a variety of mission-driven clients. Her work has appeared in publications including InStyle, Modern Farmer, and PopSugar. Elka is on the advisory board for Humble, a Bay Area horsemanship program providing free and low-cost riding lessons to children who have historically been denied access to the horse world. A lifelong equestrian, Elka is the happy owner of Kleary’s Grateful aka Jerry, a young Irish Sporthorse mare. If you are not a horse person and would enjoy being bored, ask her about her horse. She and her family are also obsessed with their Great Pyrenees mix Otis, aka Grotis aka The Oats aka Mr. Oats aka Otisiller.
