A mix between a Miniature Schnauzer and a Poodle, the Schnoodle is smart and alert, attentive and fun.

Things to Consider

As with all mixed breeds, you can never be 100% sure of the temperament you’ll get from your pup. Socialization will be very important, especially for Schnoodles that share their Miniature Schnauzer descendents’ tendency towards protectiveness.

Schnoodles can be stubborn and independent, so although they’re adaptable, the breed does require training. They require daily exercise and coat care to be kept looking and behaving their best. Keep in mind that Schnoodles also may suffer from separation anxiety and tend towards destructive behavior if left alone for long periods of time.

The Schnoodle is said to be the perfect companion dog, proving that he does well as a both a jogging companion and a couch potato. Essentially, the Schnoodle adapts well to whatever lifestyle he’s brought into.
