Springer Spaniel Lets Chipmunk Eat Peanuts From His Paws

I don’t know about you, but when I take my dogs for a walk, just the sight of a chipmunk or a squirrel sends them into a complete fit. They pull on their leashes, they bark their heads off, and do everything in their collective power to follow the small animal up the tree. Needless to say, we’re still working on the whole “how not to be crazy around critters” training guide.

But when the dog in this video sees a chipmunk, he remains cool as a cucumber.

The dog, which appears to be a Springer Spaniel, not only doesn’t freak out when the little guy approaches him, but he actually lets the tiny creature take a peanut from his paw. Then the chipmunk proceeds to eat the nut right in front of the dog. Talk about willpower!

The trainer in this video is using a simple “Stay” command, and praises the pooch when he lets the chipmunk take the nut. It’s quite an amazing feat.
