What football game would be complete without some halftime treats? Besides all your two-legged friends, you’ll want to make sure all of your furry friends have something yummy to munch on during the game.
Whether you’re hosting a tailgate or having people and their pets over for the Big Game and the Puppy Bowl on Feb. 13, 2022, these football jersey DIY dog treats will help you kick off your pet-friendly party. Plus, they’re healthy and easy to make, so you can be sure you’ll score a touchdown with your fur squad on game day.
What you'll need:
Cookie Ingredients
- 1 heaping Tbsp. peanut butter
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. water
Frosting Ingredients
- Natural blue food dye (or color of your choice) (optional)
- 4 tbsp. Greek yogurt
- 4 tbsp. tapioca starch
- 1 tsp. milk

- 1 large mixing bowl
- 2 small mixing bowls
- Mixing spoons
- Measuring cup
- 1 football jersey cookie cutter
- Rolling pin
- 1 cookie sheet
- Cooking oil
- Piping bag (optional)

Cookie Dough Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Add flour, peanut butter, egg and water to a large mixing bowl.

Combine ingredients with a mixing spoon until mixture thickens.
Note: You can massage the batter with your hands if the mixture becomes too thick to mix with spoon.

When ingredients are thoroughly blended, flatten dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface until the dough is flat and ¼-inch thick.

Use cookie cutter to create 6-8 jersey shapes from the dough.

Place the cookie shapes 1 inch apart on a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until ready.

Let cool for 5-10 minutes and add frosting.
Frosting Instructions

Mix tapioca starch and Greek yogurt and split between two small mixing bowls. Add milk to both bowls and stir until creamy.

Add food coloring to one bowl and mix until blended.

Place mixtures into piping bags.

Pipe frosting onto each treat to create your favorite design (numbers, stripes, etc.).

Refrigerate to harden. Then serve!
