When you work at Chewy, you quickly learn which dogs are office regulars. Ellie, a 5-year-old Yorkie-mix, is one of those dogs.
“Ellie comes to work whenever there are a lot of outfits she has to try on,” says Kacie Hu, global sourcing manager at Chewy in Dania Beach, Florida, and dog mom of Ellie.
Ellie has a very important job in the office: She’s the medium-sized dog model for all medium-sized Frisco apparel. Whenever you see a new Frisco outfit, know that Ellie was a “medium” part of the process—but not without some treats, of course!
“Whenever she has to model, I whip out high-value treats, like jerky treats, which are her favorite,” Hu says.
Another perk of the job for Ellie is getting to test dog toys, dog beds—you name it.
“It is a big work benefit for her!” Hu says.
When not testing dog products, Ellie and Hu spend lots of time relaxing and having fun together.
“On the weekends, we sleep in and then we hog the couch together and binge Netflix shows,” Hu says. “She also loves going kayaking with me. She loves being in the kayak but doesn’t like the water.”

Ellie is a sucker for squeaky plush toys, especially Frisco's Plush Squeaking Monkey dog toy.
“This one the perfect size for her,” she says. “What she likes to do with this toy is grab it and swing it back and forth to show off that it’s all hers.”
With all that swinging, you’d think this plush toy wouldn’t last long, but it’s proven strong enough to handle Ellie’s chompers.
“It’s very durable. She has ripped toys in the past, but this one has held up very well,” Hu says.

Hu says that out of all of the toys at home, Frisco's Hide and Seek Flying Saucer dog toy is Ellie’s favorite by far.
“I stuff this toy with extra toys and treats and she goes absolutely nuts,” Hu says. “Between the squeaks, treats and toys, it keeps her busy for a good 20 minutes!”
And those 20 minutes are as entertaining for Hu as they are for her pup.
“It’s so fun to watch her play with this,” Hu says. “I have too many videos of her playing with this toy because it’s just so hilarious.”

Rain doesn’t stop Ellie and Hu from heading outside when they have things to do.
“In Florida, it rains a lot, so I always have this with me for whenever we head somewhere,” Hu says. “This raincoat gets almost daily use and really helps keep Ellie as dry as possible.”
