It’s great to see kids take an interest in what might become their careers. When a kid shows a talent for investigative journalism, well, look out, world, because some hard truths will be revealed.
A 10-year-old girl in Ireland conducted an “interview” with her cat to test out a picture she saw about where cats like to be petted, her father tweeted. Paul Duane posted the full transcription between his daughter, Gabi, and her cat, and it’s an amazing journalistic investigation.

Me: Coco. Can I rub you on the head?
Coco: Absolutely!
Me: The back?
Coco: Sure.
Me: The tummy?
Coco: YOU-ARE-FORBIDDEN-TO-EVER-TOUCH-MY-TUMMY!!!
Me: The legs?
Coco: NO!!!
Me: The tail?
Coco: ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Me: The butt?
Coco: IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU?!?! THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER!!!
Gabi likely based the questions off a common guide to petting cats that’s been circulating online for a bit.

Turns out, it’s accurate. Sometimes, you need empirical proof to know something’s right. Cold, hard evidence… or, in some cases, furry, angry evidence.
