Best Parka for Dogs

Love this coat, its easy to put on, the velcro closure is nice and strong so she cant shake out of it, and its just the right weight for cooler days.
-
Warm jacket
I ordered this jacket for my 16 years old Dachshund.. I got size S, I can close it just right but not long enough :( It’s not for her type of breed
-
super warm coat, hood is slightly big
The coat is very soft and warm inside so it will keep your dog warm during the winter! The size (xxl) fits very well with my dog who does have a deep chest. Only issue I had was the hood being too big on my dog that it covers his entire head, but it’s a good thing that the hood can be detached from the coat
Best Dog Puffer Jacket
-
the girls loved it
Easy to put on and fits perfectly they both wearing size medium. Keeps them warm at night and they don’t get wet for the areas it covers them.
-
Puffer Coat
My little Deer Chihuahua is 21 years old & has arthritis so it hurt her to put on her ther jacket. With her new coat it's easy to put on her & she stays nice & warm.
-
Perfect Lightweight Jacket
I love these Frisco coats! They’re warm without bulk, great water repelling in light rain, easy to put in and take off, and the fit is perfect. My “go to” coat in moderate temperatures or light rain or snow. I also bought the lined heavyweight Frisco coat for colder days.
Best Fleece Dog Jacket
-
Adorable fleece jacket
I purchased both pink and teal colors for my puppies. They are about 15 lbs and medium size is a bit snug on them, but they are still growing :) Colorblock design is so cute and fleece seems to keep them warm. Zipper pocket is perfect size for airtags. They also look great after washing in a cold cycle and hang air drying.

Puppy Patagonia?
Super cute & heavy weight.. I call this my dogs "winter jacket" double lined. Happy I sized up because it is so thick.
-
I love it
It’s actually a lot cuter in person. The display pic is so/so. Really soft and the zipper for treats or potty bags is adorable. It’s a tad bigger than expected. Got a S for my 8 lb chihuahua and it’s not snug but works perfectly
Best Waterproof Dog Coat

Hurtta coat
Love everything about this coat! The fabric, the adjustability, the color, the lightness yet warmth, and the ease of putting it on!! My dog RUNS into her coat. I call it her sleeping bag !!!
-
LOVE this coat!
I have a dog that is a weird mix...chihuahua, dachshund, and beagle...and she is very difficult to fit! This coat is perfectly adjustable and the longer length option was perfect for her! She is also very cold natured and seems appreciative of the windproof coverage and the full coverage provided on her stomach and chest (unlike most dog coats). So glad I paid for this coat. It is top notch!

Keeps My IG's Warm And Happy
Bought these for our girls and am very happy with them. Good quality and fit. I ordered a size 14 and they fit them well. They may be a little big, but they cover them perfectly. Had them out in the cold and the girls stayed nice and warm.
Best Dog Coat for Large Dogs
-
Perfect Winter Coat
Saw this and thought my dog would love it! Fits great and very high quality. The velcro makes it easy to adjust for his deep chest. Good quilting on inner fabric, easy to wipe clean and keeps him dry and warm
-
Durable
New pup and she needed a Carhartt jacket too. We were so impressed with the durability of this jacket! The pups run through briars in the woods and jackets still look new! Also easy to wash!! Will only buy Carhartt in future for it’s durability and warmth for pups.
-
Cute jacket but thin
It’s a well made and cute jacket. It is pretty thin but good to layer for extra warmth. The Velcro makes that jacket very customizable given sizing.
Best Dog Coat for Small Dogs
-
Awesome suit!!
I got this cause it’s starting to drop in temp. I was worried about the sizing for my dog cause his measurements are 21 in neck, 31 in chest and 22 in in length but it fit him very very well and he looks so snazzy I’m it!!!

Another great coat from GF Pet
This is the 2nd coat I've purchased from Chewy/GF Pet...the quality is excellent, the fit is perfect (thanks to grippy velcro closures) and the thoughtful details make them a cut above...I went with the closest measurement for his back/chest (size M for a 15 lb. Border Terrier mix.) This coat is very easy to put on/take off and the hood tacks back securely with velcro and stays completely out of his eyes/face (my dog doesn't enjoy wearing a hood.) It's lined with a soft, cozy fleece material for extra warmth (well-timed for January as temps in NYC really dipped!) He hasn't worn the easily detachable pants yet (@hugotmyheart prefers no...

Snug and warm
Love the Velcro, it’s easy to put on and stays in place. The hood is big and covers her ears (much to her chagrin) or Velcro’s back and stays in place. Definitely keeps her warm. Haven’t tried the pants yet, but love that they’re an option.
Best Dog Snow Coat
-
I'm happy it fit
I have to say it's a real challenge to find coats/clothes for my 90-pound Bully and to find this snowsuit and it FITS. PERFECTLY! I am in LOVE! Biggs is not a huge fan of wearing clothes and getting him in this snowsuit is easy on us both. Although we haven't had the chance to try it out in the weather just yet, I'm sure he will be nice and toasty.
-
FANTASTIC
I have recommended this suit to everyone! Pittie parents, behold. Our 72lb long legged, chesty girl wears a 24M and it fits perfectly. Bought the extreme warmer for her short squaty brother who's about 20lbs lighter than her
-
Peep
I am so impressed with this snowsuit! It is like it was made for my 8.2 pound Chihuahua. What a great product! Size 10S
Best Dog Peacoat

Paddington Bear Vibes
This jacket is so cute. My toy poodle reminds me of Paddington Bear when he's wearing it. For reference, he is 6 pounds and I ordered a size small. It's a little big but he's still able to go potty without soiling it.
-
Nice fit and weight
Really like this jacket. It is a nice weight and fits my long and skinny Tennessee Walking Hound well. It is also easy to get on and off.
-
Don't hesitate on this purchase!
We live in the South and our dogs are very unfamiliar with cold weather. We were due for some very bitter temperatures, so I wanted something a bit more substantial than their lightweight, Christmas sweaters for their walks. These coats are exactly what I wanted. They have (what I imagine) are enough weight to them to keep them warm against the wind and chill, without overheating them combined with their natural fur. They fit them PERFECTLY, not to mention they are rather stylish. Our white dog is roughly 60 pounds with a prominent barrel chest, so she is wearing an XXL (she maybe could have worn an XL, but I wasn't sure where the tummy...

Lightweight & easy to put on
I am very happy that the jacket. It looks really good on our dog & the Velcro closure is so easy to put around our dog.

I love the style of this jacket and the ease of putting and taking it off my dog. My dog is 15 with arthritis in his joints. This jacket has Velcro around the neck and stomach making it a breeze to put on and take off..

Best Corduroy Dog Coat
-
Buddy's New Coat
I wish I'd of ordered this sooner than what I did, as our temperatures were sub zero and our little Buddy only had a sweater. This coat will keep him toasty warm in the next cold weather.
-
Great for outdoor active puppy! Stays on her, and she is noticably warm in it.
It's the only coat she and her very active 8 month old littermate haven't chewed holes in! She likes it, and it's still on her in the morning! Looks comfortable, non-restricting.
-
Winter coat
Love this coat. I needed a size larger because I put it on over her halter. We fold the hood back a little because it gets in her way. It keeps her warm!!
Best Snood-Style Dog Coat
-
Perfection in a coat
So easy to put this on and so cozy and snuggling! Love love and have bought a whole bunch of them for the future winters too!
-
Easy on over the head...
Our foster furbabies do very well with the simple over the head style of coat. It keeps them warm in the cold snap we had recently
-
Great quality!
Really good quality. Thick fleece, snood comes up just enough to protect the neck & stays up. Belt won’t get in the way of peeing. I did originally order a medium after measuring, but I had to return for a small. Chewy handled super fast. I recommend!
Best Dog Raincoat
-
So cute, and great functionally! Kept my dog dry in our last walk through heavy rain. The hood is a bit bigger than my dog needs to it falls into her eyes sometimes, but it's an easily solved problem and works wonderfully otherwise!
-
Northwest Rain
Recently adopted two California dogs in the wet Pacific Northwest. They were very wary of walks in the rain. Once I got the hoods folded back so they could see they gingerly made their way. Now they expect the raincoats and are coping much better with rainy days.
-
Fits Perfect & is adorable!
My Bichon is so cute in his new rain coat that I am anxious to have him wear it...so come on rain!
Dog Coat FAQs
What are the benefits of putting a coat on a dog?
Dog coats aren’t just a fashion statement for Fido. They help keep your pet warm, cozy and safe during cold days in the fall and winter. The extra layer helps maintain their body temperature and can also provide protection from the wind, snow and rain.
Do dogs need to wear coats?
Not every dog needs to wear winter coats, especially if they already have a nice layer of fur to protect them. However, some small dog breeds, short-haired dogs, older dogs, and dogs with low body fat may benefit from an extra layer, notes Dr. Carol Osborne, DVM, a veterinarian at Chagrin Falls Veterinary Center & Pet Clinic in Ohio.
“I tell my patients, ‘If it’s too cold for you to go outside without a jacket, it’s probably too cold for your dog to go without a jacket, too,’” Dr. Osbourne says.
Dog coats can also protect from sleet, snow, and rain, as well as windy days. If your pup has sensitive skin or tends to get cold, a jacket or coat comes in very handy.
How do I pick the right coat for my dog?
The most important factors to keep in mind when shopping for dog coats is fit and comfort. You want to make sure to measure your pup and that the garment has a snug fit but isn’t too tight. Follow these instructions on how to properly measure your dog for clothing. Then refer to the coat manufacturer’s sizing chart.
From there, you can consider other details, such as reflective piping (great for nighttime walking), water-resistant materials for wet weather, or leash holes and/or d-rings for easy leash attachment. Also consider your particular climate since you don’t want a coat that’ll make your dog too warm or not warm enough.
